Lightweight and sleek, the Edge is a closed-deck recreational kayak ideal for beginner and intermediate paddlers. With a user-friendly hull package that gives beginners more control and accelerates the learning curve, the Edge is built for responsive speed and stability in mixed water. Featuring a unique "Quadra-Plane" hard-chinned hull design, the Edge tracks straight through the water with great predictability, stability, and amazing speed for a short boat. The Quadra-Plane hull delivers a tempered initial stability that allows the paddler to 'heer' the boat for turning--the secondary stability locks up solidly for confident paddling. In addition, recessed coaming on the cockpit keeps the spray skirt secure, maximizes the free paddling area, and reduces weather cocking for a great performance in heavy chop. The peaked foredeck and bow wave-deflector work together to deflect and shed water and keep the paddler as dry as possible even in the swells.

Providing exceptional comfort, the Edge has a huge cockpit with a large, easy entry/exit opening of 21 by 51 inches. The cockpit boasts ample room for gear and even has room for a tag-along pet. The kayak's dual-density, integral foam seat, backrest, and hip pads are lightweight, low profile, and extremely comfortable for long hours on the water.

Weighing just 37 pounds and equipped with bow and stern carry handles, it is a breeze to load, unload, and transport the Edge Kayak. Measuring 9 feet, 6 inches long and 29 inches wide, the Edge is constructed of specially compounded polyethylene plastic that is easy to repair and UV resistant for long term use.
